The screen wash pump is controlled by the BCM (body control module). The same pump does the front and rear screen. It runs clockwise for one screen and anti-clocwise for the other. The common fault when these stop working is a fault with the BCM, normally water gets in to the connectors and the pins corrode. Quote.
